Broken Strings... Broken Dreams

Ugh... Broke a string on my acoustic today... Nearest store to sell them is like twenty-five minutes away. Being as how I don't have my license..
.. I won't be able to get any new strings until someone I know is heading in that direction. On top of that, my electric's (a shit Ibanez GAX dunno which one exactly) G string goes out of tune within twenty seconds of me tuning it.. Bah. Guess no guitar for a while.

Fortunately, I have a date for the test, and it looks like Tuesday will be the big day. I'm not worried about passing it.. only worried about "something" happening to further delay the test  xD.

Well it's Saturday and I'm exhausted.. been quite a week for me. I want to leave my readers with a question.

Do you play music? If you do, what instrument do you play?

    you can't walk or ride a bike there?

    personally, i like taking small journeys like that on days off

    and i play quite a few instruments - all self taught

    i could list them but it would go on a while

    Ugh, I hate broken strings; they are so annoying. Try to buy an extra unit of strings next time and keep them in a dry safe place.

    Dude, I totally feel you on the untunable G string. I picked up a black Epiphone SG in a pawn shop a while back and the G string would always untune whenever I would bend it (the others would be fine). It recently died on me though (RIP Ann). Hope you do well on your test!

    hey that sucks about your guitars. i used to play piano when i was younger, played for about 2 years. the instructor made us play boring songs though, if it wasnt for that i still might be playing today.

    Don't laugh, but piano, trumpet, tuba and ...flute. Flute actually paid for college. Full scholarship, so I can't complain too much.

    Good luck on your test again Xp I hate it when a string breaks... Last time one broke it left a really nice gash on my finger tip.

    A) Don't worry too much on the test
    B) Maybe order it online and have them sent to your home?
    C) Trumpet, Harmonica, and Piano (Only good with the Harmonica but I want to learn more Piano)

    Play a little bit on the guitar. I have the same problem, though. No music store nearby and I can't drive because my arm is still fucked.

    As a fellow guitar player I feel your pain. Haven't had a string break on me in awhile but last month my A string got an indent in the string around the 5th fret which made an annoying buzzing sound whenever I played it.

    if you cant get to the store anytime soon, buy a new string on ebay. shipping doesnt take that long.

    I used to play piano but I stopped for a while. I've always had the thought of getting serious with an instrument in the back of my mind, but I've never actually brought any light to this vision.
